In celebration of Punk’s contribution to the art scene, the Signal Gallery is holding its second ‘Beyond Punk’ exhibition.
Dedicated to Poly Styrene (real name Marianne Joan Elliott-Said) of the band X-Ray Spex, who died of cancer earlier this year, the show includes a series of specially commissioned portraits of the pioneering punkster.
Photographs of bands including Adam and the Ants and Siouxsie and the Banshees, artworks by Savage Pencil, Jowe Head, Ben Edge of Thee Spivs and Billy Childish will be among the highlights on display.
Curated once more by Gaye Black from The Adverts, the second show aims to fill the Signal’s new gallery space with a wider range of artists and artworks.
Live music will be played every Saturday that the show is on for by the participating artists.
'Beyond Punk' at the Signal Gallery, London 25 November - 17 December, www.signalgallery.com
