A REPORT on Britain's theatres says that pounds 30m is needed to bring them up to 'an acceptable modern standard'. The Theatres Trust, which surveyed 95 theatres, says: 'The provision of resources for surveys of all theatres dependant on public money is a priority.' Forty per cent of all theatres were felt to be in fair/poor condition, 65 per cent were not regularly inspected.
