WHILE the rush of commercial architects into eastern Europe continues, Sir Frank Lampl, the Czech chairman of Bovis, has invited some of Britain's leading firms to take part in a limited competition for a site at Brno. The Richard Rogers Partnership, Peter Foggo Associates, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, HOK International, Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners and Michael Aukett Associates have been asked to design the first phase of a pounds 130m science, business and technology park on the campus of Brno's university. All six entries will be on exhibition at the Royal Institute of British Architects, 66 Portland Place, London W1 (071-580 5533) from the end of this month.
