Augustus John

John was a prodigious draughtsman and this welcome show demonstrates the breadth of his talent. Organised by Rebecca John, his granddaughter, it revolves around several key themes in the artist's work - portraits of Dorelia, gypsies, fisherfolk, commissioned portraits and portraits of his son Romilly. The show coincides with an updated republishing of Michael Holroyd's biography of John, and travels in September to Spink's in London.
