Rare Breeds Show

Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Singleton, Chichester, Sussex (01243 811363) tomorrow, 10.30am-6pm, adults pounds 5.20, children pounds 2.50

Orange pigs, sheep with "teddy bear" faces and tiny goats will be among the 500 rare animals taking part in the show at this museum of rural life. Other attractions include Macdonald's Mobile Farm, where children can handle calves, lambs and piglets, plus an animal trail through the showground.

If you don't know your starting price from your starter's orders this could be the day to fill that knowledge gap. Bouncy castles, face-painting and street entertainers, plus free creche facilities are being laid on at leading racecourses this Sunday in a bid to encourage more families to follow the sport.
