A BRIGHT violinist and Seiko watches are the clues to last night's launch of a scheme to support outstanding musicians. The Hattori Foundation, which offers study and performance grants to instrumentalists aged 18 to 26 and young ensembles, has been set up with pounds 1.5 million from the Hattori family, whose assets range from timepieces to the 1989 Yehudi Menuhin prize-winner, Joji Hattori, now at 23 a London resident.
