New York Ballet Stars Thur to 7 Aug

Royal Festival Hall, London SE1

The group of dancers from New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre who played at the Queen Elizabeth Hall last summer enjoyed such success that a similar programme comes to the South Bank this week. Ballets by America's greatest choreographer, George Balanchine, again provide the backbone, with two bright new stars making London debuts: Paloma Herrera in the Tchaikovsky Allegro Brillante and Maria Kowroski in the Stravinsky Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra (Rubies), in which she joins the zippy Wendy Whelan and glamorous Peter Boal. Also on the bill is a world premiere by Karole Armitage to music by Thomas Ades, and duets by Balanchine and Lar Lubovitch. Three nights only, so don't delay.

Royal Festival Hall, London SE1 (0171-960 4242) Thur to 7 Aug, 7.30pm
