Furrowed brows and harsh whispers are the order of the day in this slick but predictable political thriller, which stars Mark Wahlberg (in one expression mode: befuddled) as Billy Taggart, a New York private eye and former cop who is taken for a ride by Russell Crowe's corrupt mayor.
The wily politician hires Billy to find out if his wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is being unfaithful – but the thrust of this well-worn tale hangs on a dodgy real-estate building.
