JONATHAN HARVEY'S new play, Guiding Star, marks his debut at the Royal National Theatre. It looks at life after the 1989 Hillsborough disaster. A father and his two sons are haunted by their memories of that day; their guilt at surviving starts to disintegrate relationships within the family. Bleak, inevitably, but the play is also about human strength, compassion and tenderness. Jonathan Harvey's other work includes Beautiful Thing, Rupert Street Lonely Hearts Club and Babies. Directed by Gemma Bodinetz.
