Sir: Douglas Greenwood refers to "Boadicea's bones under Platform 10" at King's Cross (Historical Notes, 15 July).

Up to 10 or 15 years ago this was true, but with modernisation of the East Coast main line, the platforms were renumbered. Platform 10, under the original station roof, became No 8. The current No 10 is among the adjoining group of suburban platforms.
