KEITH FLETT (Letters, 2 October) commented that there are no women in the new survey of Labour MPs' reading and influences by the New Statesman and Society. This isn't quite true. There are none in the top 10 authors, but some are mentioned - Vera Brittain, Charlotte Bronte and Alice Walker among authors, and Barbara Castle, Millie Miller, Jo Richardson, Mother Teresa and 'my mother' among influences.
