Sir: The earthquake in Turkey was one of the worst cataclysmic events of nature. I doubt whether the most advanced states could have been able to cope with it. It shocked and stunned everybody, including the Turkish government.

What is needed now is not recrimination, but joint effort from all humanitarian organisations of the international community, including those in Turkey.
