Coronavirus: Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and footballer boyfriend dance together amid self-isolation
After falling ill, the singer has had to drop out of a Little Mix performance
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has gone viral dancing with her boyfriend, the Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while self-isolating.
The pair have not said they've tested positive for coronavirus, but have chosen to go into lockdown as a precautionary measure after Edwards fell ill.
In the video, the couple could be seen performing a dance routine to Maggie Lindemann’s "Pretty Girl".
Edwards, 26, begins the routine moonwalking into shot before Oxlade-Chamberlain, 26, appears after her and they both skip upstairs.
Edwards posted the video to her Instagram under the caption: “Precautionary self isolation can be fun.”
On Friday (March 13) Edwards had to miss out on a Little Mix performance at a festival in Sao Paolo.
Perrie wrote: “Hey everyone. I’m so sorry to announce that I am unable to travel and perform in Brazil with the rest of the girls on Sunday due to being unwell.
”To all the fans attending the show, I’m heartbroken I can’t be there with you, but I know the girls will absolutely smash their performance and give you everything in my absence. Lots of love, Perrie x.“
The band was also due to film a music video but plans for that have also been scrapped.
A number of other musicians have already cancelled tour dates over the coronavirus outbreak, including Avril Lavigne, The Who, Green Day, Billie Eilish, My Chemical Romance and Madonna.
