There are three kinds of mathematicians: those who can count and those who can't. All kinds of sub-cultures flourish on the Web and the world of maths humour is one of its odder blooms.

Straight denigration of the number crunchers isn't too difficult to find (www.geocities.com/ CapeCanaveral/4661/ projoke22.html) but for a real peek at what tickles mathematicians, take a look at "The Adventures of Discriminant Boy in the Negative Dimension", a deeply odd mathematical serial (www.creative.net.au/ mary/index_2.html).

Just in case you might be thinking that the maths gag props up the already crude edifice of most Web humour, make your way to the Maths Comics site (see above). The "Einstein as a boy" cartoon will put a smile on your face.
