A Hip Mass: The Superjam

It's the season for paying your dues: last week Noel Gallagher jammed with Burt Bacharach on stage at the Royal Festival Hall (see review, page 10); this Sunday, Damon Albarn (right) salutes the world of sweet poesy with his own mockney-heroics ("6am is awash in violent Dulux / and the Essex dogs are all loved up") at a nine-hour poetry/ song/ dance marathon. It's Michael Horowitz's last major gig before retiring to tend to his couplets. Watch out for contributions from Nick Cave, Patti Smith, John Hegley and, er, Nerys Hughes.

Royal Albert Hall, Sun, 1.30-10.30pm (0171-589 8212)

Tiger Lillies

Martin Jacques wears a beret, sings castrato and pounds away at his accordion as he does so. A performance art legend, but don't let that put you off. Like stumbling across a Brecht/ Weill night down the local Dog and Duck.

10pm tonight, Samuel Pepys, 289 Mere St, London E8; free
