The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit King George Dock, Kingston upon Hull, where the Queen officially opens the new lockgates; attend a service to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the City of Hull at Holy Trinity Church, Market Place, Kingston upon Hull; and visit Market Place and the Covered Market, Kingston upon Hull. The Queen visits Noddlehill Youth Centre, Noddlehill Way, Kingston upon Hull; and meets residents of the Garth, a housing estate, Kingston upon Hull. The Duke of Edinburgh visits Hull Daily Mail Publications Ltd, Blundell's Corner, Kingston upon Hull; and visits Smith and Nephew Medical Ltd, Hessle Road, Kingston upon Hull. The Prince of Wales, Patron, Elgar Birthplace Appeal, and Patron, the Philharmonia Orchestra, attends a concert in Worcester Cathedral to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Enigma Variations. The Princess Royal, President, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, visits the Carers Advice and Resource Establishment Sandwell at Sandwell Carers Centre, Edward Cheshire House, Bearwood Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, and the Council House, Oldbury, West Midlands, and attends a luncheon at the BT Training Centre, BT Conference Suite, Brindley Place, Birmingham.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
