Gareth Thomas makes return to Dancing on Ice final

Gareth Thomas will return to Dancing on Ice this Sunday for the group performance, despite announcing he was leaving the competition due to ill health.
ITV has confirmed that the former rugby international will return for the ensemble skate, all being well with his recovery from motion sickness.
Last night he tweeted: “The reality of leaving in a sad way is on me now. Final doctor’s appointment tom. Nothing will stop me from saying good bye on the ice Sunday. X”
Yesterday morning he also said: “Can’t wait to skate again. As for flying. Never!;(x”
Thomas decided to leave the show after suffering severe motion sickness from a routine. He left the stage unable to talk after his performance of Coldplay’s “Vida La Vida”.
After consulting a doctor, and supported by his mother, a decision was taken to withdraw him from the competition before he could perform his second act on the ice.
This weekend’s final live show will see the remaining three finalists EastEnder’s Matt Lapinskas, boxer Luke Campbell and gymnast Beth Tweddle take to the ice to compete for the winning title.
