X Factor 2014: Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams confirmed to perform on first live show
The two huge international acts will take to the X Factor stage on Sunday night
The judges have whittled down a mass of hopefuls to just twelve finalists and now, the performers for the first live X Factor results show have been confirmed.
Two huge names, Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams, will take to Simon Cowell's stage on Sunday night, with further acts for the series to be announced in due course.
Pop star Swift, who has notched up seven Grammy Awards so far in her career, will perform her new single "Shake It Off", while the multi-talented Williams will sing "Gust of Wind".
Each week, international musicians will perform, from musical legends to X Factor alumni and current chart successes.
This year's finalists were chosen after three days of high-pressure auditions at the judges' houses and revealed last weekend.
Lauren Platt is the youngest of the group, aged just 16, while Chloe-Jasmine has already become the show's hot topic for her unique bluesy style and 'posh' accent.
Italian Andrea Faustini is the only non-Brit to make the live shows, Paul Akister is a returning contestant from 2013 and an unnamed boy band created by the judges from eight male auditionees is hoping to follow in One Direction's footsteps.
Then there is Jay James, who taught himself guitar after injuring himself playing rugby for the Armed Forces. Cowell is his mentor and has tipped him as "the one to beat".
You can catch The X Factor on Saturday 11 October at 7.30pm and Sunday 12 October at 8.15pm on ITV.
