ANOTHER bastion falls: this year the pounds 10,000, two-year Gemini Fellowship for composers, previously held only by men, has gone to Helen Roe. She intends to use her time as Fellow to write an opera, which she will base on Hans Andersen's The Little Mermaid and Henrik Ibsen's Lady from the Sea.
