disasterium.com

This odd site is in effect an almanac of disasters referenced by every date this century. It's not particularly well designed, but it does seem to be pretty comprehensive. You can select a date and learn about all manner of disasters which have occurred down through the years. As well as enhancing any pre-millennium tension, it is also ideal source for offbeat birthday emails.

Crust webzine is, on the face of it, just another pop-culture magazine but it's put together with so much charm and so informally that it's in fact rather pleasant. The clue to its endearing content and haphazard design lies in an apology the owner ran: "I'm really sorry I haven't been able to update lately. Too much schoolwork."
