X Factor fans claim show is fixed after Olly Murs reveals Monica Michael's exit before deadlock result
Fans question the legitiamcy of the show after X Factor presenter Olly Murs announced Monica Micheals exit before the result had been revealed.
In the latest X Factor gaffe, co-host Olly Murs announced the departure of a contestant ahead of the official result.
After Monica Micheals and Anton Stephans sang for survival, the result went to deadlock after the judges vote split 2-2 on which contestant to send home. The contestant with the lowest number of public votes would now leave the process.
But, singer-turned-presenter Murs slipped up saying "Sorry Monica, you're going home" before annoucing the public vote.
He quickly apologised to the audience saying "I'm sorry guys I made a mistake".
However fans took to Twitter to question if the slip up was a sign of the show being fixed.
Murs tweeted an apology for his slip-up.
This is the latest in a series of controversies surrounding this year's X Factor; the show's future is in doubt after it was revealed BBC is dropping The Voice.
