An Australian radio station, CADA, secretly used an AI-generated host, "Thy," for six months without informing listeners.
The AI host, created using ElevenLabs software, presented a daily music show.
The deception was uncovered when a writer questioned Thy's identity, noting the lack of biographical information.
CADA's parent company, ARN, acknowledged the AI experiment, stating it was exploring new technologies but also emphasising the value of real personalities.
The incident sparked criticism, with some arguing that listeners should have been informed about the AI host.
