  • Nicknamed the Elgol Dinosaur, it's Scotland's earliest and most complete dinosaur fossil.
  • Dating back to the Middle Jurassic period, the fossil is believed to be from an ornithopod, a plant-eating dinosaur.
  • The dinosaur was about the size of a pony and at least eight years old.
  • The extraction was challenging, requiring a specialist team and a local boat company.
