The rebranded website (https://covid.gov/)
  • A federal Covid-19 website, covid.gov, has been changed to promote the ‘lab leak’ theory.
  • The website now features a picture of Donald Trump and content suggesting the virus originated from a Wuhan lab.
  • It also criticises Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for promoting a narrative that the virus originated in nature.
  • The site's previous content on vaccines, testing, and treatment has been removed.
  • This redesign follows a trend of altering government websites, including removing public health data and diversity-related content.
