Weathermen have put Britain back on storm alert with 80mph winds expected this evening.
They have already issued a severe weather warning and say storms similar to those that brought chaos on October are on the way.
Forty one flood warnings have been issued, including on the River Wye in Hertfordshire between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye.
Forecasters say the threat is from a "vigorous depression" forming in the Atlantic off the coast of Portugal, which is expected to hit south west England and Wales tonight.
They fear the weather could be as severe as on October 30 when tornados hit the south coast of England.
