All pretty graphic stuff – and never more so than now, as Bill's finest have been given a pictorial make-over by Classical Comics (www.classical comics.com). Graphic novels are enjoying a surge in interest, and Shakespeare isn't the only one benefiting.
The Bible itself has been illustrated in a Manga style by former Marvel Comics man Ajinbayo Akinsiku (www.themanga bible.com). Turning Christ into a comic-book superhero has proved popular, with 30,000 copies already sold in Britain.
And the events of 9/11 are being given a visual retelling in a comic-strip version of Howard Zinn's A People's History of American Empire (www.amazon.co.uk), bringing home the impact of the day.
