Red Dead Redemption 2: Release date, online multiplayer and 'vast' world map confirmed by Rockstar Games
Multiplayer is set to be a major part of the game

Rockstar Games has confirmed what it has been teasing all week: a sequel to beloved Xbox 360 game, Red Dead Redemption.
The developer dished out a scant few details on its site, promising a "vast and atmospheric world" that will be the basis for an online multiplayer feature.
There is no news yet on whether protagonist John Marston will be involved, nor a setting more specific than 'Wild West', but that will change on 20 October when the first trailer is released.

'READ DEAD REDEMPTION 2
FALL 2017
TRAILER COMING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20 AT 11AM ET
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.'
The game, which will be released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, has been craved and rumoured for a long time, the original having had a gameplay style very similar to GTA's and yet somehow more intoxicating.
The soundtrack was particularly praised - specifically during that now infamous entrance to Mexico.
"With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we've learned making games."
"YEEHAW," Xbox UK replied to Rockstar on Twitter.
