Taylor Swift joins Kim Kardashian in mobile gaming market with new app
‘Shake it Off’ singer partners with Glu Mobile

Grammy award winner Taylor Swift has partnered with Glu Mobile to launch her first mobile game.
Swift joins Kim Kardashian in the mobile gaming market, whose app is also produced by Glu. The company seeks to partner with celebrities with large social media followings to produce games, and with Swift possessing over 70 million Twitter followers, it’s easy to see why she was signed up.
Little is known about the game, but Glu has confirmed Taylor Swift has been signed to a “multi-year” partnership.
“We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience,” Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi said while announcing the deal (quotes via Forbes). “Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved.”
Considering Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’s incredible success, it’s easy to see why other celebrities are keen to sign up for mobile gaming apps. According to MTV, as of November last year, Kim Kardashian had earned a staggering $43 million from the app since its June 27 launch.
