Knock-out competitions rarely produce giantkillings in basketball, but Newcastle Eagles' coach Tony Garbelotto will warn his players against complacency when they travel to the Conference side Teesside Mohawks in the first round of the ntl National Cup tomorrow.

Garbelotto said: "Teesside are an extremely competitive team, one of two or three teams in the Conference that can actually compete with BBL teams." However, the two other Conference sides in the National Cup have already been comprehensively beaten. Worthing Thunder lost 126-89 to Leicester Riders, while Plymouth Raiders were beaten 101-75 by Birmingham Bullets.
