It's a quality dry white whose delightfully rich and buttery, tropical fruitiness is held together by appley snap of clean acidity. If it sounds like an oxymoron, £1 off a bottle until Wednesday makes this juicy and full-flavoured, unoaked blend of the merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc grapes from the opposite bank of Gironde estuary from the Médoc something of a steal. Try with grilled lamb cutlets and seasalt, and rosemary-baked potatoes.</p>
