Universal Orlando's Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park will open June 18, the company announced March 25.
The Florida, USA theme park, which has been designed in collaboration with JK Rowling and Warner Bros, includes faithful replicas of Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade Village and many of the shops on Diagon Alley.
Footage recently released by Universal Studios shows Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson taking part in the creation of footage to be used at the park, which features a roller coaster with a new Harry Potter storyline named Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
"This all new adventure combines a powerful storyline with spectacular new technology so effectively that guests will be completely immersed in the experience," said Universal Orlando.
"Guests will feel things no one has ever felt inside a theme park attraction, move in ways no one has ever moved, experience film like no one else ever has, explore vast sets punctuated by amazing special effects - and have an adventure only possible in Harry Potter's world."
Visitors to the attraction will be able to experience the inside of Hogwart's castle, including Dumbledore's Office, the Room of Requirement, the Gryffindor Common Room and the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. In total there are 12 "scenes" to experience on the robotic ride, which also includes a score by John Williams, the composer behind the film soundtracks.
Other attractions inside the park include Three Broomsticks restaurant and Ollivander's Wand Shop.
In February, Universal Orlando announced a $1,548 (€1,162) package "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Vacation Package", which included daily admission and a four-night stay for a family of four at the park.
