CATWATCHING

I am not sure which of two types featured in your magazine this weekend I find the more revolting - the self-satisfied foul mouths of the Galway hunting fraternity or the genetic engineers so keen to produce weirder and more wonderful breeds that they are prepared to encourage the grotesque mutations written about in your Modern Times column. At least the cat people love their animals; the huntsmen adore only themselves.
