My wife and I had a long, happy life together. Or so I thought. We were married for 30 years, and when she died I was heartbroken. Three months later and seeing I was so distressed, a friend of hers told me that my wife had in fact been having an affair for the last 10 years of our marriage. She said it would stop me living in a dreamworld.
It certainly has. I am beside myself with despair. I now know the name and address of the man she was having the affair with, and I've found letters and dates in her diary. I have no idea what to do. Friends say I should put the past behind me and remember the good times, but I cannot stop thinking about it. How can I find relief from my pain?
Yours sincerely, Richard
