Got ... inside the interiors of painter John Monks. These vibrant and vivacious oil paintings combine representation with a fluidity of application akin to that of Francis Bacon. Although there aren't people in the rooms, they are alive with reminders of activity: a book here, a glove there. The ferocity and textures of the oil paintings demand first- hand viewing.
