A look at latte art at Hong Kong’s Cafe R&C
Cosy cafe serving adorable latte art
This cafe near Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay has an array of latte art patterns and is a hit among the foodies online and popular culture fans.

R&C stands for reading and coffee, although we found ourselves rather distracted with their beautifully made latte art, which ranges from Bruce Lee to Pokemon through to 3D animals.

Its owner, Hymas Ho Wai-him, a self-confessed “post-90s guy”, said that he used to be fascinated with cartoon illustrations and these play a prominent part in his cafe’s latte art.

Popular characters in the cafe are Hello Kitty, Snoopy, Minions, Doraemon and Totoro to name such a few.
However, Ho says that over time, his attention has shifted towards more mature and artistic images, which include portraits.

And of course, Ho gets the odd request to get their portrait drawn on their brew especially during special occasions like anniversaries.
The cafe has a reputation for its great service and friendliness. It is no wonder why its slogan is “come as strangers, leave as friends”.
