What a wimp Chris Taylor is ("Abstainers Anonymous", Real Life, 14 December)!

I don't drink, either; nor do I care whether others do - although it reduces the number available for intelligent conversation - as long as they are not sick over or drive into me.

He should try telling rude drinkers that it is better to be teetotal than a drunken hooligan or a pathetic inadequate unable to get through a day without alcohol. That generally shuts them up or reveals their true natures.
