BIRMINGHAM MIDSHIRES is launching new three and five-year fixed rate mortgages, priced at 5.09 and 5.89 per cent respectively. Each of these two deals involves no redemption penalties beyond the fixed-rate period. Also available is a three-year capped rate, which they guarantee will rise no further than 5.19 per cent until July 2002.
