Tesla tweaks Model S to echo new Model X crossover

Upgrades to all-electric saloon include a facelift for the nose with Model X-style headlamps and less black trim

Tesla has tweaked its Model S to bring it more in line with its new Model X crossover. Upgrades to the all-electric five-door saloon include a subtle facelift for the nose, which features redesigned Model X-style headlamps and less black trim.

In the cabin, a new air-filtration system is claimed to be an impressive 100 times better than other set-ups in premium rivals. The manufacturer says it delivers medical-quality air to the Tesla’s passenger compartment. There are two new décor options for the interior, too: Figured Ash Wood and Dark Ash Wood trim.

In addition, while the electric powertrain remains the same, a new 48A charger allows the car to be charged faster when connected to higher-amperage sources.
