Vuhl 05RR: Track-focused version of original 05 is even more hardcore
The latest Vuhl’s 2.3-litre turbo kicks out 385bhp – 100bhp more than in the 05

If you thought the Vuhl 05 – launched only weeks ago – was hardcore, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Here’s the even faster and more stripped-down 05RR version.
The Mexican-built, competition-pedigree newcomer is even more track-focused than the original, with boosted power and reduced weight helping it achieve astonishing performance figures. The latest Vuhl’s four-cylinder Ford Focus RS 2.3-litre turbo kicks out 385bhp – 100bhp more than in the 05 – along with 369lb ft of torque.
Somehow the maker has managed to get the weight of this already lean machine down by 20kg to just 675kg, resulting in a 2.7sec 0-62mph time against the standard car’s 3.5sec.

The 05RR’s top end is 158mph, and a more aggressive suspension set-up plus new rack-and-pinion steering further sharpen up handling.
UK prices are £59,995 for the stock 05 and £89,995 for the 05RR.
