Strangers' Gallery, established by former members of the RSC, tonight presents the Theatre in the Time of the Generals, four short but highly influential Argentinian plays, written in opposition to the Junta dictatorship in the months before the Falklands War. Photographer Serena Banham pays homage to her native home with an exhibition entitled Land's End: A Condition of the Spirit. As the musical centrepiece of Valo, the Barbican's six-week festival of Finnish culture which coincides with the 80th anniversary of Finnish independence, Sir Colin Davis will once again conduct the London Symphony Orchestra in the work of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Opening today at commercial gallery Jason and Rhodes is an exhibition of work of resident artists including Lela Budde, Kate Belton and Andrew Grassie. The exhibition consists largely of photography, video and paintings. Monika Oechsler's video of a children's gun club in the west of England is particularly alarming.
