"The Babylon Zoo of modern dance, a spaceman choreographer" relaunches Random Dance Company with Millennarium. McGregor's gangly, shaven-headed appearance and rubber limbs combine to create a unique dance style, which together with Vicki Mortimer's extraordinary sci-fi set, create a futuristic environment of digital bodies, virtual space and computer-generated graphics. Second on the bill and appealing to more classical tastes is Medusa featuring Alessandro Molin, Aurora Benelli and Gheorghe Iancu. This is McGregor's first work for a ballet company and marks the British premiere of the Italian Olympic Dance Company.
