l use an aid such as Centigrade to
identify subject areas
l use databases, such as Ecctis, to do the early browsing
l don't assume all courses with the same title have the same content
l shop around and asks lots of questions
l talk to current students taking the courses you are most interested in
l be realistic about the grades you are
likely to get
l consider doing a four-year degree
l check out how you will be taught and assessed
l choose courses at more than one kind ofuniversity or college
