An out-of-this-world experience awaits you at Phil Ashcroft's new show "Space is the Place" - the first of a two-part exhibition. Ashcroft's work, (including Empire Series #5, 1997, right) combines childhood recollections and his adult fixation with both sci-fi and future-jazz sounds. He uses bold colours and a loose graphic style to render vivid sci-fi motifs in paint and silkscreen. The final frontier will be reached early next year when part two, "Future Worlds", is launched at the Intoxica! Gallery, W11. You have been warned.
`Space is the Place', The Metro, Rupert Street, W1 (0171-734 1506) 2-11pm, 13 Nov to 2 Dec
