Gillian Bishop, David Hodson and Sara Robinson, former heads of the family law departments of large London firms, have joined leading mediators and counsellors Dominic Raeside and Ruth Smallacombe to set up the Family Law Consortium.

The multi-disciplinary service - which started business on 1 September and is claimed to be the first of its kind - aims to offer people experiencing separation from their partner or divorce access to legal advice, mediation and counselling under one roof.
