TSB fixes until 1998

TSB's 7.99 per cent fix is available on endowment, pension or repayment loans over pounds 15,000 for a pounds 250 arrangement fee. It is fixed until 31 August 1998.

Alliance & Leicester is offering a one-year fix of 5.45 per cent and a two-year fix of 6.50 per cent. The maximum advance is 90 per cent, and the arrangement fee is 0.5 per cent, maximum pounds 300.

Northern Rock offers a 6.98 per cent fix for three years on 90 per cent advances, arrangement fee pounds 250.

BNP is offering a one-year 4.9 per cent cap on 80 per cent advances to professionals.
