A pensioner being questioned by police over firearms offences has been ruled out as having any connection with the so-called Mardi Gra bomb attacks. The man, who is in his late 60s, was arrested last night near a Sainsbury supermarket in South Ruislip, west London, on Wednesday.
He is not thought to have any connection with a bombing campaign against the supermarket chain. However, detectives are still questioning the man over an alleged firearms offence.
