Sunday Times: Tchenguiz may sue accountant over inquiry
Vincent Tchenguiz, the property tycoon, is set to sue the accountancy firm Grant Thornton over a bungled Serious Fraud Office investigation. Mr Tchenguiz will accuse Grant Thornton of damaging his business through its involvement with the inquiry, which lasted more than three years.
Sunday Telegraph: Volvox car parts maker for sale at £40m
The British car parts maker Volvox has been put up for sale by its private equity owners with a £40m price tag. Elysian Capital has appointed PwC to advise on options for the business, bought from Lloyds Banking Group in 2011, which makes car light bulbs, chargers and battery packs.
Mail on Sunday: Homebase spin-off option back on the table
Home Retail Group may spin off its £1.5bn DIY chain Homebase so it can concentrate on developing its more prosperous Argos chain. City sources said bosses have considered selling Homebase previously, but the option has come “into sharper focus” with a company-wide strategic review.
