CSO reviews future of index

The Central Statistical Office denied that a decision had been taken to abandon the leading indicators index. While confirming that its future was under review, the CSO pointed out that the index had 162 subscribers, more than paid for the PSBR and not far short of the 213 who paid for the retail sales figures.
