Simon Carr's parliamentary sketch on 18 October stated that Martin Salter MP had been found guilty by the Committee on Standards and Privileges of using public funds to pay for party promotional material. In fact, although Mr Salter should not have used prepaid parliamentary envelopes, the newsletter was not held to be party promotional.
