The High Court was informed on Wednesday (8 April 2009) that on 8 April 2007 we reported that EastEnders actor Mohammed George had attacked his girlfriend in the street and that she was the victim of violent domestic abuse inflicted by him. We accepted in Court that Mr George's police caution for common assault was for throwing a bag of rubbish at his girlfriend and that he has not been violent towards her or subjected her to domestic abuse. We apologised to Mr George for the distress and anxiety that we caused him.
